The referendum is over.

This is a sad result. A majority of Albertans voted for more wasted spending and for scapegoating immigrants, instead of holding the UCP accountable for its own poor governance.

There is one bright spot. With 75% of Albertans voting to remain a province of Canada, the separation question has finally been put to rest. We are glad to see it settled.

From here, our focus shifts to voting no to the UCP in the next provincial election, and to undoing whatever terrible legislation they propose in the meantime.
